L-Theanine is a non-protein amino acid found naturally in the green tea plant (camellia sinensis). L-Theanine is an effective GABA precursor and promotes relaxation without drowsiness. L-Theanine may increase the anti-tumor activity of some anthracycline (chemotherapeutic) agents such as doxorubicin and idarubicin, while ameliorating the side effects of these agents.
