*Potassium–R–lipoate is a highly bioavailable and  stable potassium salt of R–lipoic acid. Regular R–lipoic  acid is heat sensitive and may polymerize extensively, decreasing  its absorption significantly. In real–time stability tests,  potassium–R–lipoate remained stable after 18 months.  As an added assurance, Pure Encapsulations issued an independent  accelerated stability test, in which potassium–R–lipoate  was stable over a simulated 18 month period.
